Recently a client required their server to be migrated into a virtual environment and have the system changed from OEM version to a VOLUME licensed server that they were now using.
This procedure is common, moving from real servers to virtual and using volume licensing as they go this way. Its a fairly easy upgrade path and most people see the significant advantages by doing this.
You may have to reboot once or twice but once it is all done you will now have a Volume licensed system, this can be done during a conversion from Physical to Virtual or to any standalone machine, I personally like to convert P2V and then do this task on the virtual machine as if any issues you can just do another conversion from the existing physical machine.

After recently upgrading to 3.1.3, I found my battery struggled to last more than 3-4 hours without use and only about an hour if being used. I searched and read everything I could find, I tryed full factory restore and setup from scratch even with no applications the iPhone still did not have much battery life. I dug further and tryed various different fixes from hard resets to powering it off and back on. Everything I tryed seemed to work for about 10 minutes and then the tell-tale sign of the iPhone getting hot started again.
Finally I decided to turn off the PUSH feature on my email settings and then did a hard reset, from what I had read about this, the push feature is getting stuck on a full connection and not letting it go. Thus constantly trying to see if I had new email was draining the battery.
The following day I decided to confirm my beliefs, YES while running with the PUSH feature turned off I was back to my normal battery life but by turning the PUSH feature on it starts sucking the life out of the battery big time. Now this never happened with previous versions of firmware, so I can live with my email being checked every 15mins but would have been nice for an alert email explaining these issues.
